Lion Puppet

Lion String Puppet

Designed and produced in Xiamen, China in 2004, we applied and received confirmation of our patent rights to the String Lion Puppet in June 2005.  Now, we are pleased to establish world-wide distribution.

Like a marionette, the lion has strings connecting its limbs and head to a handle.  With handle in palm, the puppeteer needs only to make quick wrist actions to bring the lion to “life”.   With a little practice, anyone can make the lion go from a snooze, to stir and stretch, look around, walk and explore, caper, jump, leap over obstacles, dance – in lifelike movements – to the accompanying tinkle of its bell…..

Every lion puppet is handmade – body, fur, limbs, eyes, ears etc.  Every component is meticulously stitched and assembled with an eye to detail.  When the strings have been attached, the puppet is tested to ensure it looks lively and dances naturally.
